Tresco Self-Advocates Lydia Hernandez and Shaun Adcock were among 50 individuals selected from across the nation to attend the annual SourceAmerica Grassroots Advocacy Conference in Washington, DC, June 13-16, 2022.  Rosemary Juarez, Tresco Works Community Integrated Coordinator and Stacie Allen, Community Engagement Management were also in attendance. During the event the Tresco team spent four days sharing their employment stories and met with members of Congress to advocate for better job opportunities for persons with disabilities.  There was excitement and passion from all the self-advocates in attendance. They were inspiring and showcased the importance of employment opportunities that exist in the AbilityOne Program.  In between meetings Lydia, Shaun, Rosemary and Stacie enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery, visiting various monuments, making new friends and stopping by the White House!
